Linda was born in Waterloo, daughter of the late Glenn and Frances (VanCott) Kuney. She grew up in Waterloo on her family's farm and graduated from Waterloo High School, Class of 1965. She went on to further her education at Rochester Business School, completing her courses in 1967. On Saturday, February 17th, 1968, Linda was united in marriage with her high school sweetheart, Jack Hilimire, at St. Mary's Church in Waterloo.

In the early years of Linda and Jack's marriage, the couple spent a few years outside of the Finger Lakes due to Jack's time in the Air Force. From 1968 until 1970, the couple lived in Hawaii, before returning to Syracuse, NY, where they lived until 1972. It was in '72 when the couple returned to Waterloo to raise their family.

For over 40 years, Linda worked in the family business at Ace Automatics in Seneca Falls. The majority of those years she worked in HR as the Human Resource Director. She was also a former member of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs, where she excelled at bringing people together and helping to better the community.

Outside of her professional career, Linda had three passions in life: family, golf, and boating. She was a longtime member at both Seneca Falls and Geneva Country Clubs, and she always loved to entertain at her home for family and friends. In retirement, Linda and Jack spent their summer months in NY, where they were able to spend time with family and enjoy the area's many golf courses. In the colder months, they had a home in Chocowinity, NC, that was situated on both a golf course and marina, allowing Linda to have two of her life's passions available at any time. As fun as NC was, as Linda got older, her blood got a bit thinner, and she and Jack found themselves venturing further south, down to Sarasota, FL. They spent the last 10 years wintering in Sarasota, enjoying the warm weather, many golf courses, and spending time with family that had moved there over the years.

Some of Linda's additional interests included traveling, sewing, and cooking/baking. Over the years, she was able to travel all over the world, seeing and experiencing as much as she could. She was known for making clothing for family, starting when her daughters were little, and more recently for her grandkids. Growing up on the family farm, Linda was taught from an early age about how to cook and bake. Her family has many wonderful memories of the countless times they got together and were able to enjoy a delicious dinner or dessert that Linda had made from scratch.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Jack; twin daughters, Jennifer Harmon and Jacqueline Hilimire; three grandchildren, Trevor Harmon, Tyler (Nick Rotondo) Lisk, Maximus Lisk; great-granddaughter, Alyvia Rotondo; brother, Jack (Kathy) Kuney; brothers-in-law, Richard (Carol), JT (Dee), and Thomas (Emily) Hilimire. In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Larry Hilimire, and his wife, Nancy, who was also Linda's lifelong best friend.
