Leroy Isaac Champagne

Mr. Leroy I. Champagne, 87, of Auburn, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Mr. Champagne was born on April 14, 1939, in Keene, N.H., the son of Ernest and Agnes Patterson Champagne. He attended schools in New Hampshire and was a graduate of Auburn Community College. He started his career in retail, having managed over 30 different stores. He owned and operated Champagne Convenient Mart and Gas Station prior to opening his own tax service, Leroy Isaac Tax Services, a business he operated for 30 years. For many years, he drove a school bus locally. As a licensed private pilot, he enjoyed flying and boating.

He will be missed by many, especially his wife of 69 years, Beverly (Carey) Champagne; his children, Brian (Ada), Bruce, Bonnie (Tim Clancy); grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased, along with his parents, by his sister, son Leroy, and daughter-in-law Terry.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Farrell’s Funeral Service, Inc., 84 South Street, Auburn.
