Dundee: Lara L. Stracco, age 42, of Dundee, NY, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 27, 2011, in Dearborn, Michigan. Lara was born June 9, 1969, in Phillipburg, NJ, the daughter of Albert Henry and Louise Marie Davis Eldredge. She graduated from Warren Hills High School in New Jersey. She has lived in Dundee since 1993, formerly of Massachusetts and Pocono, Pennsylvania. She was a former Museum Assistant employed by the Dundee Historical Society.

She is loved and will be missed by 2 sons, Michael C. (Holly) Vine, currently serving in Afghanistan, and Anthony "Tony" Stracco of Corning; a daughter, Jaclyn T. Stracco of Penn Yan; her mother, Louise Marie Eldredge of Effort, PA; 3 grandchildren, Samuel Stracco, Logan Stracco, and Claire Mackenzie Ross; 3 brothers, Larry Eldredge of Roanoke, VA, Lance Eldredge of Bayside, NY, and Albert Eldredge of Islandia, NY; 3 sisters, Linda Stevens of Roanoke, VA, Lynn Shannahan of Colonial Beach, VA, and Lisa Peppriell of Effort, PA; dear friends, Lester (Susan) Friske, with whom she made her home in Dundee, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Albert H. Eldredge, in 2003.

Friends called from 1-3 p.m. Friday (Sept. 2) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, where a funeral service was held at the conclusion of calling hours at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Michael Vine Sr. officiating.
