Kenneth was born September 17, 1969, in Montour Falls, NY, the son of the late Jack L. Scott and the former Cathy A. Jones Scott. A lifelong local resident, Kenny had been a member of 4-H and played baseball for the Dundee Little League while attending Dundee Central School. His athletic abilities carried into high school, as he set school records as an avid track star, along with playing football and centerfield on the baseball team.
On July 29, 1995, in Dundee, he married the former Tammy L. Trank and lovingly raised 3 sons. A former circuit board assembler for Badgers in Penn Yan and a former machinist for Thomas & Betts of Horseheads and Silgan Plastics of Penn Yan, he was most recently employed by Roto-Salt of Penn Yan, NY. A former assistant coach of the "Dundee Senecas" Junior Football Team, Kenny's true passion was hunting and trapping, and he especially loved deer and coon hunting. He was a former member of the Spencer Van Etten Coon Hunting Club, a member of the Himrod Conservation Club, and most recently, since the loss of his son, the Patriot Guard Riders.
He is loved and will be dearly missed by his wife of 16 years, Tammy L. Scott, at home; 2 sons, Michael A. Scott of Dundee and Daniel S. Scott at home; his mother, Cathy A. Scott; a brother, Ronald J. (Sandra) Scott, both of Dundee; a sister, Sharon R. (David) Wilcox of Canisteo, NY; his lovingly referred to adopted daughter, Tory L. Oden of Dundee; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and countless friends. He was pre-deceased by a son, SPC Christopher J. Scott, who was killed in action on Sept. 3, 2011, in Afghanistan, and a brother, Jeffrey Lynn Scott, in 1966. Online condolences can be sent by visiting www.bairdfuneralhomedundee.com.
