Dundee: Kenneth Bert Hill, age 79, of Dundee, NY, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 2, 2012, in the comfort of his home. Honoring his wishes, there are no prior calling hours. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (June 12) in Hillside Cemetery, Route 14A, Dundee, with Rev. Lucinda O'Leary officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837.

Kenneth was born December 4, 1932, in Glenora, NY, the son of the late Bert and Anna Belle Hoagland Hill. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. On September 23, 1955, in Penn Yan, NY, he married the former Virginia R. "Ginnie" Dixon; she passed away on January 26, 2003. A lifelong local resident, he retired from Akzo Nobel Salt, of Watkins Glen, NY, in 1994. Mr. Hill was a member of Dundee American Legion Bradley-Jessop Post #660 and was an avid sportsman, having a Lifetime Hunting and Fishing License.

He loved and will be dearly missed by his three sons, Andrew L. (Cheryl "Sam") Hill, Stephen L. (Wendy) Hill, and Kenneth Scott (Jeanine Derr) Hill, all of Penn Yan; a sister, Irene Unrue of Rochester; five grandchildren, Ann Hill, Jessica Boyde, Anthony Hill, Bryan Hill, and Madison Hill; a great-grandson, Aiden Boyde; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Percy and Andy Hill, and two sisters, Betty Hill and Shirley Sheppard.
