Kenneth Lanning "Kenny" Dinehart, 67, of Penn Yan, New York, passed away unexpectedly on May 19, 2026, in Penn Yan.

Kenny was born on August 11, 1958, in Penn Yan. He was the son of the late Erwin (Stub) and Betty (Dunton) Dinehart. Kenny was one of nine children in a very close-knit family. On July 2, 1988, Ken married the love of his life, Lisa (Bollen) Dinehart, and together they shared 38 years of marriage, centered around family, humor, and love.

A hardworking and dependable man, Ken dedicated many years to his work as a woodworker and as a bus driver for Yates County Transit, where he was known for never missing a day of work. He created lasting bonds with the Mozaic passengers, his co-workers, and transit riders. He was well known for the pranks he pulled on any unsuspecting rider or worker.

Ken loved tinkering, being outdoors, hunting, watching NASCAR, and spending time at the family land on "Dinehart Mountain." He enjoyed working with his hands and was always willing to help friends and family in need. He will be remembered as a lighthearted, down-to-earth man whose generosity, strong work ethic, and devotion to his family touched the lives of many.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa; his children, Emily Strait (Michael) and Ben Dinehart (Katie DeSchutter); and his beloved granddaughter, Madilyn, and his bonus grandson, Cooper. He is also survived by his siblings Linda Sargent, Nancy (Terry) Robinson, Vonda Knapton (Judd Durham), Michael (Dawn) Dinehart, Keith Dinehart, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Richard, Dennis, and Rodney Dinehart, as well as his mother Betty and father Stub.
