John Kimball

GENEVA - John K. Kimball, 75, passed away Wednesday, May 20th, 2026, peacefully at Keuka Comfort Care, with his family by his side. John was born on July 3rd, 1950, in Oneida, NY. John was the eldest of four children. He was the son of the late Arlene Marie Principio and stepfather Vrony Principio.

During his life, John dedicated his services to the Geneva Fire Department at Nester Hose. He worked for International Newspaper for over 30 years. In his spare time, he was an avid Buffalo Bills and Yankees fan. He recently became a member of the Moose Club in Geneva.

John was a devoted and loving son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his long-term partner, Kimberly Kloess; his children Michelle Hansen, Denise (Jerry) Dexter, Cory Kimball (Emily Glidden), and Erika Kimball (Paul Moose); brother David Principio; sister Cindy (Chuck) Covert; grandchildren Kayla (James Pinneo) Rozell, Sara (Andy) VanBilliard, Brandon Brethen, Elaine (Christian) Busto, Jerry Dexter, Kylie Dexter, Michael Johnson, and Alvin Moose; 8 great-grandchildren; and various nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, Joseph Principio; his mother, Arlene (Kimball) Principio; and his stepfather, Vrony Principio.

A celebration of life will be held in John's honor on Saturday, July 18th, at 1 PM at The Moose Club, located at 453 Waterloo Geneva Rd, Waterloo, NY 13165. Family and friends are invited to come and share stories, laughter, and memories. In honoring his wishes, there will be a private burial that morning at Glenwood Cemetery with his family.
