Jeri A. Coningsby

Sempronius, NY April 26, 1978 – May 28, 2026 Age 48

Jeri A. Coningsby, 48, of Sempronius, NY, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, at her home after a long battle with Non-Hodgkin's Follicular Lymphoma. She fought with unwavering courage and grace, a true warrior.

Jeri was born April 26, 1978, in Ithaca, NY, the eldest daughter of Kenneth "Chip" Davenport Jr. and Deborah Breed Davenport. She grew up in Lake Como, graduated from Homer High School in 1996, and went on to receive her Associate Degree at TC3 in Business Management, then a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Childhood Education at SUNY Cortland.

She had been employed as a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher at Millard Fillmore Elementary School, Moravia, NY, for the last 21 years, until her passing. She enjoyed camping with her family at Fair Haven State Park and Jellystone, traveling, gardening, Christmas, 4th of July in Lake Como, dancing, and cooking. Food Network was on all the time in the house.

Jeri was preceded by her dad, Chip (Pappy), and is survived by her loving husband, Barry Coningsby; 2 daughters, Alexcis (Aaron) Hower of Elysburg, PA, and Lucy Coningsby at home; 1 son, Nolan Coningsby at home; 2 grandsons, AJ and Zachary Hower; her sister, Jill (Roger) Abbott of Moravia; her mother, Deborah Davenport of Lake Como; aunts, uncles, special cousins, and nieces and nephews. Her family was her greatest joy and center of her life.

Even with all of her difficult challenges, she still lived her life to the fullest with her family as her focus. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Calling hours for Jeri will be held Sunday, May 31st, from 12-2 PM and 5-7 PM at the Wade Funeral Home, 22 Church St., Moravia. Burial with a brief committal will be in New Hope Rural Cemetery Tuesday, June 2nd, at 11:00 AM.
