James ‘Jim’ K. Sincerbeaux
James 'Jim' K. Sincerbeaux, 83, of Auburn, NY, passed away very peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on July 22, 2026, at Auburn Community Hospital.
He was born in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Howard and Marion (Voorhees) Sincerbeaux Colegrove. 'Jim,' as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, previously worked for JR Clancy and retired from Bennett Bolt in Jordan-Elbridge as Plant Manager after many years of service. Together with his wife Gerry, they enjoyed wintering in Arcadia, FL. Jim owned and built several small block modified dirt race cars that took first place championships. He was honored to be inducted into the Weedsport Dirt Museum and Hall of Fame for Outstanding Car Ownership in Motorsports. His '0' car is on display at the museum.
He loved fixing and tinkering on many things, but especially golf carts. Jim cherished his family and all of the special memories that he was fortunate enough to have with them. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Geraldine (Benda) Sincerbeaux; two beloved daughters, Debra Springstead and her husband Rob, Chrissie Allen and her husband Phil; two granddaughters, who were his pride and joy: Kara Springstead and Reagan Allen (Kamyren Randall); sisters Bonnie Smith, Diana Aldrich and her husband Lynn, Carol Becker, Holly Dahl and her husband Gary; and brother John Sincerbeaux; sister-in-laws Kim Sincerbeaux, Barbara Quigley; brother-in-law Ronald Benda; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and very close neighbors and special friends David, Terry, and Arey Colella.
In addition to his parents, Jim was also predeceased by three brothers, David, Jack, Timmy Sincerbeaux; brothers-in-law Donald Becker, Mark Smith, George Benda; sisters-in-law Jane Sincerbeaux, Cheryl Benda, and Audrey Benda.
Calling hours are this Monday, July 27th, from 4 to 7 PM in Pettigrass Funeral Home. Funeral services are Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Columbarium.
