Jack E. Cornish
Jack E. Cornish Sr., age 75, of Dundee, NY, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 30, 2011, while attending a shooting event at the Himrod Conservation Club, enjoying one of his favorite pastimes.
Friends are invited to call from 2-4 & 5-7 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 3) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a Fireman Service, followed by Rev. Lucinda O'Leary officiating. Burial will be private in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee, at the convenience of the family.

Jack was born July 4, 1936, in Dundee, NY, the son of the late Milton and Cora Cornish. A lifelong area resident, he was a former Highway Superintendent of the Town of Starkey, retiring in 2000. Mr. Cornish was a member and Past Chief of the Himrod Fire Department, a devoted longtime member of the Himrod Conservation Club, and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #426, Montour Falls, NY. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, target shooting, bowling, motorcycles, camping, and playing cards.
He is survived and will be missed by 2 sons, Scott A. (Rebecca) Cornish of Corning, NY, and Jay D. Cornish of Dundee; 3 daughters, Gail M.C. (Paul) Forsay and Dena L. Kibbe, both of Marian, NY, and Paula D. (Louie) Seeley of Dundee; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Fred Cornish of Penn Yan and Allan Cornish of Millerton, PA; 2 sisters, Betty Wood of Canandaigua and Millie (Raymond) Keeney of Millerton, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
