Gary L. Waldron

Gary L. Waldron, 77, of Auburn, New York, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026.

Born and raised in Auburn, Gary spent more than 30 years working as a machinist at ALCO/Bombardier before retiring. He was known for his strong work ethic, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor that brought smiles to family, friends, and everyone who knew him.

Gary enjoyed traveling, especially family trips to Disney and visits to the ocean. Some of his happiest moments were spent making memories with those he loved most.

Above all, Gary was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to babysit, play, or simply be present in their lives. His love for his family was unwavering, and he would do anything for them.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Sherryl Waldron; his son, Andrew Waldron, and wife Hannah, and their children, Elijah and Sora; his daughter, Rebecca Stover, and husband Brett, and their children, Bradyn and Sarah; and his brother, James “Duke” Waldron, and wife Shari.

Gary will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, dedication to his family, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
