Emory A. Serven

Savannah, NY May 12, 1921 – January 1, 2013 Age 91

Savannah: Age 91 of Savannah, N.Y., died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at home. Born in the Town of Junius on May 12, 1921, he was the son of George and Grace Nearpass Serven.

Emory was a World War II Army veteran, worked at Seneca Knitting Mills, owned a trash disposal business, and in later years farmed.

He was predeceased by wife Rena Serven, his parents, son Roger of Las Vegas, brother Mervin of Waterloo, sister Margaret Spencer of Paris, N.Y., and great niece Janice Serven. Emory is survived by one daughter, several stepchildren, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

At Emory's request, there will be no prior visitation. There will be a gathering at his home for family and friends Saturday, January 5th, at 3:30 pm. Arr: Norton Funeral Home of Savannah.
