Ellen M. (Bex) Wiggins

Ellen M. Bex Wiggins, 85, of Wright Ave., Auburn, passed away peacefully at The Grand Nursing Home, Chittenango, NY, on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.

Ellen was born in Syracuse on March 11, 1941, the daughter of the late Fred and Rosellen Myers Bex. Ellen retired from USF Red Star after many years in the Accounts Receivable Department. She was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church and volunteered there for several years. Ellen enjoyed singing, traveling, and, above all, cherishing time with her grandchildren.

Ellen was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, Thomas Wiggins. She is survived by her devoted family: her daughter, Michele Wiggins McMahon and her husband, Stephen; her son, Thomas Wiggins Jr., and his husband Kairul Umam; her beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Peter, and Shannon; her sister, Maureen (Robert) Weaver; and her brother, Thomas (Lori) Bex; her sisters-in-law, Diane (Douglas) Dean, Judy (Francis) Prine, and Barbara (William) Sliter; her brother-in-law by marriage, Douglas (Nancy) Herrick; many cousins; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Alphonsus Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. Friends are invited to meet with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at White Chapel Funeral Home, Inc., 197 South St., Auburn.
