Elizabeth Ann (Mahoney) Mealus

On July 2, 2026, Kathleen Elizabeth Ann Mealus (Mahoney), age 85, passed away peacefully, pain-free, with her loving family by her side at The Commons on St. Anthony.

Ann was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She lived a long, full life filled with love, hard work, and many adventures. She was preceded in death by her mother, Monica Kathleen Ryan Mahoney; her father, Harold C. Mahoney; and her husbands, Raymond, John, and Bert.

Ann is survived by her sister, Geraldine (Robert) Burke; her daughter, Kathy (Kevin) Claflin; her sons, Raymond Jr. and John Jr.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her beloved granddaughter, Brandy, provided devoted care and companionship until the very end, a gift that meant so much to Ann and the entire family.

Ann spent many years as a dairy farmer before retiring from the Onondaga County Department of Corrections, where she proudly served as a corrections officer. She truly loved her work and the people she worked with.

Ann will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was loved by so many, and her kindness, strength, and caring spirit will be remembered always.
