Dr. Diane E. Reed

Dr. Diane E. Reed passed away peacefully on June 14th, 2026, at her home in Pittsford, NY. She was born on December 6th, 1946, in Manhattan, NY, to her parents, William England and Margaret Denenkamp. She is survived by her two children, Bradley Reed (Julie) and Ashley Reedman (Kalynn); and four grandchildren, Gabriella, Owen, Sutton, and Hudson.

An English teacher from elementary to graduate level for 20 years, followed by serving as the Honeoye Falls - Lima School District Superintendent for 14 years, then working various professorships and non-teaching roles in Educational Leadership at St. John Fisher College till present, Diane's life was marked by her dedication to education—seconded only by her devotion as a mother and grandmother.

A loyal friend and confidant to people of any circle, she loved to socialize and host parties, always inquiring about their life and their family. She always sought adventure and new experiences, traveling around the world with Women Leading Education Across Continents, with friends, and with family. She loved holidays and family vacations, and always made a statement with her sense of style wherever she went, dressing and color-coordinating for every event and holiday. Her sense of humor and kindness touched everyone she met, and she found a second home in the church. Her voice, guidance, and humor will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Services will be held at Eastside Church at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 30th, at 1350 Fairport Road, Fairport, NY, followed by a celebration of life at Flaherty's Three Flags Inn, located at 60 W Main St., Honeoye Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, please provide donations to EWBC Breast Care Fund or Geva Theatre.
