Savannah: Died on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, age 88 at the Wayne County Nursing Home in Lyons, following a brief illness.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Colvin-Norton Funeral Home, 13081 West Church Street in Savannah, where his funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation. Donations in lieu of floral offerings may be directed in Donald's memory to the Savannah Ambulance, 1770 Route 89 North, Savannah, NY.

Don was born December 5, 1921, son of the late Howard and Mae Gay. A lifelong resident of Savannah, he was a member of the Savannah High School graduating class of 1941. Don retired from the Beacon Feed Milling Company in Cayuga, NY, where he had been employed for 40 years.

Donald is survived by sons Jon (Marilyn) Gay of New Port Richey, FL; Norman Gay of Savannah; and daughter Bonnie (Richard) Sloan also of Savannah; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Lorraine Granatiero; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Lois in 1987 and by daughter-in-law Jacqueline Gay in 2010.
