Deborah Lynn Morse
Deborah Lynn Morse, 50, of Binghamton, NY, formerly of Groton, NY, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2026.
Deborah was born March 5, 1976, in Cortland, a beloved daughter of Richard and Mary Ann (Sadowski) Morse of Groton, who survive her. She was a graduate of Groton Central School, Class of 1994. She attended Marywood University in Scranton, PA, where she was a member of Delta Epsilon Sigma and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree on January 15, 1998.
She worked in Scranton for a short time and then moved to Binghamton, NY, where she has lived and worked since 1999. Most recently, she was a Talent Acquisition Specialist in the Human Resources Division for ENSCO, Inc.
Debby lived on Cedar Lane and was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church, where she was baptized, received her First Communion, and Confirmation sacraments. She worked as a lifeguard at the Groton pool, showed an interest in fashion, and worked in retail at the Pyramid Mall before attending Marywood. There, she received a scholarship, excelled academically, and made her family very proud of her accomplishments by graduating a semester early.
She took great pride in her home, decorating inside and landscaping/gardening outside. She loved her cats, Elvis, Max, and Sammy, who sadly passed on several years ago. After their passing, a stray she named Flash found her. Unfortunately, due to health constraints, she reluctantly gave Flash to an animal shelter.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Richard F. Morse III (Claudine Labeille), of Skaneateles, NY, her sister, Victoria Toro, of Groton, and her nephew and nieces, Bennett and Nieve Morse and Torianna Toro.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 20, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 312 Locke Road, Groton. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 11:00 AM to Noon at the church. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, are graciously recommended to St. Anthony's or logansrescue.org. Arrangements are entrusted to the Shurtleff Funeral Home, and online condolences may be shared with the Morse family at www.shurtleffservices.com.
