Deanna L. Pike
Deanna L. Pike, 88, of Montour Falls and formerly of Watkins Glen, passed away peacefully at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, with loved ones by her side.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday (June 15th) from 10 AM to 11 AM at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM, and burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Deanna was born on April 10, 1938, in Williamsville, NY, the daughter of Clark and Vivian Young. She was a stay-at-home mom and provided daycare to many children in the local area. Deanna had a great love for her whole family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the love of her life. She enjoyed word search puzzles, bowling, embroidery, flowers, birds, and watching various wild animals from her living room window. She also had a love for pets; the most recent was for Holly, a very lovable German Shepherd.
She is survived by daughters, Vivian (Harold J.) Rappleye of Horseheads, Mary Teed of Watkins Glen; sons, William R. "Bill" Pike of Montour Falls, and Scott Pike (Shelley Cullen) of Burdett; six grandchildren, Jason (Lindsey) Rappleye, Stephanie Rappleye (Shane Bond), Anthony (Kaylinn) Teed, Stacey (Kyle) Benjamin, Nicholas (Shaina) Pike, and Brett Cullen-Pike; great-grandchildren, Leah, Mya, Dawson, Dean, Gianna, Harper, Paisley, and Leon; and several brothers, sisters, and a sister-in-law.
Deanna was predeceased by her loving husband Robert C. Pike, both her parents, stepmother Marie A. Young, and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
