David L. Hines, 64, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on May 31, 2021, after a prolonged battle with COPD and CHF.

David was born on July 25, 1956, to John and Martha Hines. David proudly joined the U.S. Navy in 1973, and soon after met his wife, Debra J. Hines (Hults). They were married in 1975 and had four daughters. David worked as a machinist at Seneca Foods and enjoyed doing repair jobs for folks in need. He was a joyous and spiritual family man and will be sorely missed.

David was predeceased by his mother and father and brother John. He is survived by his wife, Debra; daughters Jean Legare (Chris), Jessica Sczepanski (Justin), Joy Hines (Matt Weaver), and Jennifer Hines (Tyler Howland); siblings Helen Sullivan (Robert) and Fred Hines (Jane); and grandchildren Rebecca, Alexis, Patricia, Julia, Austin, Emma, Owen, Liam, and Sophia.

Calling hours and services will be held at Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen on Saturday, June 12, from 12 - 1 PM; funeral at 1 PM; followed by burial with military honors at Tyrone Union Cemetery.
