David E. Colegrove

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David (Dave) E. Colegrove on April 11, 2023. He was 61 years old.

He was born on May 31st, 1961, to Margaret L. Colegrove and predeceased by Kenneth E. Colegrove. Dave graduated from Clyde-Savannah, then went on to have an archery business that led to his career at Tarjac, where he later retired from. Everyone knew he had a passion for the outdoors, from fishing to hunting to taking his boats out. His love and passion extended well beyond the woods and guns. He taught many to hunt, taking them on their first hunts, touching the hearts of many individuals as he still receives thank yous to this day.

Dave personified kindness his whole life. He opened his heart and home to many over the years. Dave was also whip smart and had a memory like a steel trap. Seriously, Dave could tell you where everything was in his house. He was also the funniest person many knew, and he was perhaps at his best when his jokes or silliness had him laughing along to himself.

When Dave took off into the sky, he left behind two sons, Michael and Cody E. Colegrove. Most would say he left behind a third, his dog Brucie, who was truly his companion and best friend for 12 years, and his grandchildren Logan, Maddison, and Calvin E. Colegrove. As you know of his passion for hunting, which he shared with his son Cody, he hoped he could've taught everything to Calvin, but now Cody will pass down everything his dad Dave taught him.

David was a proud grandfather and touched the lives of everyone he met, almost like an instant friend. Michael and Cody will carry on his memories and spirit to his grandchildren so they will always know and remember him. Dave is forever loved and missed.
