David Sullivan Brown

David S. Brown, age 50, of Elmira, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY.

Born November 18, 1968, in Ithaca, NY, he was the son of Bonnie Grover Brown and the late Cornelius D. Brown. Always ready and willing to help anyone in need, David loved the outdoors and considered himself to be indestructible. David had been employed with Walmart in Watkins Glen, NY.

In addition to his mother, Bonnie Brown (Loren Barrows) of Dryden, David is survived by sister, Tammy Brown Woodard of Asheboro, NC; brother, Steven Brown of Rochester, NY; and sister, Bonnie Lou Brown Moore of Tenn.; grandmother, Beatrice Brown of Montour Falls, NY; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his grandfather, Amos J. Brown.

Services will be held later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Resource Center, 612 W. State St., Ithaca, NY 14850.
