Darlene Sharkey

Darlene Sharkey, age 75, of Rock Stream, NY, passed away April 19, 2025.

Darlene was born in Rosebud, South Dakota, on September 15, 1949, the daughter of Bernard and Gladys (Denis) Lambert. After school, she married Dennis Sharkey and settled in Rock Stream. Together, they raised their family and food on the Mak'n Farm, raising many of their own animals, including chickens, goats, pigs, sheep, calves, and horses. She worked as a Medical Supervisor at The Falls Home in Montour Falls.

She was predeceased by her husband Dennis in 2024, also her sisters, Donna Lambert and Denise Lambert; and her brother Dennis Lambert. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Sullivan, James Sullivan, Dennis Sharkey, Douglas (Jamie) Sharkey; and daughters, Rebecca Morris and Yvonne (Nelson) Mojica; sister-in-law, Beverly (Mitchell) Rea; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was also predeceased by her parents, and brother-in-law, Douglas Thompson, and sister-in-law, Sharon Sharkey.
