Canandaigua, NY September 5, 1944 – June 20, 2026 Age 81

Canandaigua – Daniel Toombs, age 81, formerly of Waterloo, NY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Canandaigua.

He is survived by his brother, Michael Toombs; two sons, Andrew and Dan Toombs; four grandsons; one great-grandson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dan dedicated several years as Scoutmaster of Troop 342 in Henrietta and had a lifelong love of the outdoors.

Friends may call Wednesday, July 8, from 5-7 PM at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, 47 North Main Street, Canandaigua. Interment will be in Nondaga Cemetery, Bath, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Seneca Waterways Council, 2320 Brighton-Henrietta Town Line Road, Rochester, NY 14623.
