Daniel Neumire Sr., age 89, of Reading Center, passed away February 17, 2026.

Dan was born in Montour Falls on August 1, 1936, the son of Albert and Marie (Wallenbeck) Neumire. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 1955 and worked for R&L Perry Construction Co. for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Ann (Landry) Neumire. He is also survived by his sons, Daniel Jr. (JoAnn) of Montour Falls, Donald (Tracy) of Watkins Glen, Dale (Janet) of St. Rose, LA, and Dana (Christine) of Rochester; daughters, Nancy Crouch of Montour Falls, and Cindy Neumire of Spartanburg, SC; brother Mickey (Brenda) Neumire of New Hampshire; and sisters, Arlene of Corning, and Sally of Watkins Glen; 11 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Fran Neumire, a sister, Becky Bush, and a son-in-law, Calvin Crouch.
