Cynthia M. Hawke

Pittsford - Beloved wife to David, mother to Bethany (Matthew), Daniel, and Matthew. Grandmother to George, daughter of Lorraine, sister to Susan, Steven (Lucille), Anne (Duane), and Tim (Cheri). Cindy was predeceased by her father, Robert, and sister, Judy.

Trained in arts for children with a dance emphasis, she gave her skills and love to many in her role as recreation therapist at United Cerebral Palsy.

After marrying, she dedicated her life to her family. A homeschool teacher to her boys, Daniel and Matthew. A caretaker to their special needs son, Daniel, for over 35 years.

Cindy was a model for understanding and compassion. In her later years, she volunteered at the Advent House (2013 to 2019). She was known for her active, loving engagement in her care for those in need of hospice.

A bright, beautiful, articulate, peacemaking person with a soul to match. She gently danced into God's loving hands at home on October 3, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Cindy, you are missed deeply and widely like the ocean of love God gave you to draw upon to give love to others.

A life celebration and remembrance service for Cindy will be held on Saturday (November 2), 11 AM at Pieters Family Life Center, 1025 Commons Way, Rochester, NY 14623.
