Catherine Cool

Catherine Ann Cool, 67, of Romulus, passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2026, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

In accordance with Cathy's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneva at the family's convenience, followed by a celebration of life.

Cathy was born in Geneva, New York, on October 2, 1958, to Charles and Barbara (Ridley) Cool. She graduated from Romulus Central School in 1976 and went on to work several jobs, including the Seneca Army Depot until the early 1990s. After welcoming her twins, Billy and Lisa, she devoted herself to raising her children while working from home as a dog groomer and breeder of her beloved Westies.

Cathy's greatest joy wasn't only raising the twins, but being "Nana" to her three grandsons, Jacob, Lucas, and Evan. She surely treasured every moment spent with them. She also enjoyed spontaneous trips, testing her luck at the casinos, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills! Cathy spent her lifetime growing up on Seneca Lake, where she instilled the love of the area into her children. Cathy was always quick to share her fondest childhood memories of her and her brothers Charlie and Jimmy. Whether she was telling fishing stories, talking about her ponies, or their family hunting trips to Wyoming, Montana, and Canada, the love she had for her family was evident in everything she did. Cathy always said, "I had the best life ever"; little did she know how incredible she made our lives, simply by being our mom, Nana, and the heart of our family.

Cathy was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Barbara (Ridley) Cool, and by her brother, James Cool.

She is lovingly survived by her son, William (Alyssa) Parish; her daughter, Lisa (Eric) Peck; her cherished grandsons, Jacob, Lucas, and Evan; her brother, Charles (Patricia) Cool; as well as several extended family members and many dear friends.
