Carol L. Peebles

Carol L. Peebles, age 80, lifetime resident of the Romulus area, died peacefully at her home on June 12, 2026. Carol was born in Seneca Falls on December 28, 1946, a daughter of the late Floyd and Mary Peebles Sr.

She was a Romulus High School graduate and had a long career at Willard Psychiatric Center as a mental health therapy aide. Carol's kind spirit and gentle nature allowed her patients at Willard, her family, and her beloved lifetime of animals to receive the absolute best care imaginable. She would sacrifice her own well-being for the betterment of an animal's life, fiercely protecting them and ensuring the best life possible. She also showed the same kindness to her family and friends, quietly giving to others while asking for nothing in return. Throughout her life, she had many meaningful relationships that will be cherished.

Carol is survived by her many nieces and nephews, notably Mark and Kimberly, who stepped up in the later years as she finally needed someone to help her. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Floyd Jr., David and Kenneth Peebles, and Orlinda Keach.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Varick (McDuffietown). Kindly remember Carol by donating to an animal shelter in her memory.
