Groton, NY May 24, 1944 – February 27, 2026 Age 81

Carol W. Mosch, 81, of Groton, passed away on February 27, 2026, at Northwoods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Moravia.

Carol was born on May 24, 1944, in Cortland, a daughter of the late Leonard and Virginia (Rogers) Wilcox. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Homer High School and started her career as a secretary with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. She retired after 30+ years with the Broome Developmental Center (DDSO). She volunteered time with the Cortland MOPS (Mothers of PreSchoolers) program.

She is survived by her sons, Shawn Mosch, of Groton, and Steven Mosch (Connie), of Dryden; grandchildren: Haley, Teagan, and Ryan Mosch, Kial and Kody (Jackie) McGraw, and Kole Krause; a great-granddaughter, Celeste McGraw; brothers, Larry (Lindy) and Ed (Mary) Wilcox; sisters, Linda Quinlain (Tom) and Sylvia Bushnell; sister-in-law, Virginia Wilcox; brother-in-law, Edward "Butch" Collins; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased in 2007 by her husband of 39 years, Tom "Corky" Mosch; a brother, Maynard Wilcox; sister, Patricia Collins; and brother-in-law, Arthur Bushnell.

Friends may call from 1:00-2:00 PM on Thursday, March 5, at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 103 Lincoln Avenue, Groton, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM. Spring interment will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden.
