Carol Slocum Boughton

Carol S. Boughton, 91, of Ontario, New York, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Pines of Peace.

A lifelong resident of Ontario, Carol graduated from Wayne Central School in 1952. She enjoyed a long and successful career in banking before retiring. In retirement, she generously volunteered her time at Heritage Square, where she formed many meaningful friendships and continued her commitment to helping others. Above all, Carol cherished her family. She spent countless happy hours with her grandsons and great-grandchildren, creating treasured memories.

Carol was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Boughton Jr.; her parents, Carleton and Hazel Slocum; her brothers, Carlton Slocum Jr. and Leon Slocum; and her son-in-law, Randy Luke. She is survived by her brother, William Slocum, and her loving daughter, Joanne Luke; her grandsons, Adam (Andrea), Erik (Katie), and Matt (Jenna); and her beloved great-grandchildren, Ava, Ella, Ally, Dylan, and AJ. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff at Pines of Peace for their exceptional care, compassion, and support. Their dedication to Carol and to all the families they serve is truly remarkable.

In keeping with Carol's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
