Carl Lee Frost

Carl L. Frost, 56, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 17, 2018, in his hometown of Dryden, NY. Carl was born on July 27, 1962, in Cortland, NY, son of Eugene Lee Frost and Shirley Jane Frost.

Carl graduated from Dryden High School in 1980. He began his multi-faceted professional career, working for Monarch Machine Tool Inc. in Cortland, NY, followed by RH Miller in Homer, NY; Crown Construction in Dryden, NY; and Denkenberger & Greene Land Surveying in Cortland, NY. Throughout all of his work experiences, Carl's greatest skillset and passion was that of a master craftsman. In 1996, he decided to start his own residential construction business, Frost Building and Remodeling, which serviced much of the Finger Lakes region. He was extremely detail-oriented and gained meaningful relationships with his clients, many of whom he considered close friends. In his free time, Carl had a strong passion for working on classic cars and trucks, as well as a love for fishing, hiking, and anything outdoors.

He was a kind-hearted, hard-working man who would always be there to lighten the mood with his easy-going demeanor, his quick-witted humor, and his smile. Carl's innate ability to spread comforting laughter, wherever he was, will truly be missed by all.

He is survived by his parents, Eugene (Jane) Frost and Shirley Frost (Fred Sheldon). His siblings, Chrystle (Herb) Terwilliger, Timothy (Lisa) Frost, Brian Frost, and Kimberly Frost (Chuck Porter). His children, Alecia (John) Howells and Brandon Frost (Anne Wilkinson), as well as his grandson, Ian Howells. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Fred and Freida Frost, maternal grandparents, Albert and Vada Cole, and his sister, Brenda Lee Frost.

Friends are invited to call from 10 AM to 12 PM, Friday, December 28, 2018, with services following at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main Street, Dryden, NY. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, for the immediate family and a luncheon at the Dryden Fire Department at 1:30 PM.
