Burnice E. Jarosz

Jordan, NY May 18, 1943 – April 28, 2026 Age 82

Burnice E. Jarosz was born May 18, 1943, in Red Bank, NJ, and lived in Sound Beach, NY, later moving to Jordan, NY, with her husband and three children.

She is predeceased by her husband Richard Jarosz, daughter Lorraine Jarosz, three sisters, and a brother along with her parents. She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Jarosz, her son Richard Jarosz, grandchildren Edward Paparelli, Sheena Switzer, and Kristen (Benjamin) Chatterton, niece Heddy Jarosz, and several other nieces and nephews.

Burnice was a loving and caring individual with an infectious laugh that could make even the grumpiest of individuals crack a smile. As a child, she was in the 4H Club, then later was also a Girl Scout leader and volunteered at Camp Columbus in Auburn, NY, for many years. She also taught Sunday school in both NJ and at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Baldwinsville, NY, and was a substitute teacher aide with Special Ed in both the Baldwinsville and Jordan Elbridge School Districts.

Burnice had a way of putting everyone at ease, often showing love through her amazing cooking and witty sense of humor. Burnice loved ceramics and arts and crafts, and in her later years, she enjoyed playing Trivia and Music Bingo at the Craic House Pub in Jordan, NY.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 8th, 2026, at Bush Funeral Home, 120 E. Main St., Elbridge, NY, from 4-6 PM with services immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
