Beverly Bailey
Bloomfield – Beverly Bailey, age 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family.
Beverly is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Bruce Bailey; her four children, Kenneth (Correna) Bailey, Kevin (Wanda) Bailey, Karen (Darrel) Simmons, and Khris (Rhonda) Bailey; 18 grandchildren, Megan (Carl) Suedhoff, Kacie (Cory) Brogan, Brianna (Ryan) Ortiz, Christopher Berry, Andreana (Jordan) Verna, Matthew (Amy) McGovern, Sarah (Ken) Jackson, Andrew (Robin) McGovern, Michael (Alex) Bailey, Nicole (Todd) Tarantello, Kristin (Kyle) Owens, Andrea Shelton, Haley Natoli, Caleb (Dana) Simmons, Korbyn (Heather) Simmons, Kayla (Andy) Letkauskas, Kalin Bailey, and Kamryn (Jackson) Bailey; 30 beloved great-grandchildren; her sisters, Sandra (Barry) Morse and Debbie Ellis (fiancé, Marcus); and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her sister, Gloria Langless; and her brothers, Richard Pike and Ronald Pike.
Born in Livonia, she spent her early years in Avon raised by Virginia and Gordon Pike (deceased). Beverly then spent most of her life in Bloomfield, where she became a familiar and beloved face throughout the community. Whether it was a fresh face at the local bank or aiding at the school, she always brought a smile to everyone she helped. She was a faithful member of East Bloomfield United Methodist Church for many years, joyfully sharing her gift of music as a member of the church choir. Beverly also spent more than 20 years with Covered Wagon Tours, helping countless people create lasting memories through travel and friendship. Her involvement with the Bloomfield Senior Citizen Organization reflected her love of connecting with others and her genuine desire to make everyone feel welcome.
Above all else, Beverly's greatest joy was her family. She was the heart of every gathering, a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest happiness came from spending time with those she loved. She celebrated every milestone, offered unwavering support through life's challenges, and created a home where everyone felt welcomed, loved, and cared for. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and selfless nature left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Whether through her church, community organizations, friendships, or the countless quiet acts of kindness she extended to others, Beverly touched many lives. Her compassion, warm smile, and generous heart made Bloomfield a better place, and her legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to live on through her family and the many people whose lives she enriched.
Her memorial service and celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 5, at 2:00 p.m. at East Bloomfield United Methodist Church, 2 Park Place, Bloomfield. A private interment will be at East Bloomfield Cemetery.
