Bernice (Hulbert) Badman
Bernice (Hulbert) Badman, 98, of Auburn, passed away July 1, 2026, at Auburn Community Hospital. She was born in DeRuyter, NY, the daughter of the late Raymond and Mabel (Campbell) Hulbert and had resided most of her adult life in the Auburn area.
Bernice always looked forward to her walks. Her true enjoyment came at the camp, sitting, listening, and watching the water. She was an avid bowler and baker. She also enjoyed reading and working on crossword puzzles. Above everything, Bernice cherished her family and especially her grandsons. She loved helping others and was often the caregiver for her eight siblings.
She is survived by her loving son, Craig Badman; grandsons Mitchell and John Badman; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Meredith and Katie Badman; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and her beloved friend Kate and canine friends Soleil and Cosmo. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Earl, her daughter Marlene Cartin and son-in-law Gene, two brothers and six sisters, and brother-in-law Merrill Badman.
A calling hour for family and friends will be held next Saturday, July 11 (time to be announced) in Owasco Reformed Church, with a service to immediately follow. Burial is in Fort Hill Cemetery.
