Benjamin J. Nobile

Benjamin J. Nobile, 92, of Auburn, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in the family home to Ralph and Concetta (Locastro) Nobile, where he resided his entire life. Ben was an Army veteran, serving our country honorably during the Korean War. He was a graduate of both West High School and Auburn Community College. Upon completion of college, he became an accountant for the Bouley Companies for more than 67 years. Throughout those years, the Bouleys became his second family, with whom he cherished. He will be remembered for his deep love of his family, faith, sense of humor, and kindness. Ben's working career and several trips to the casino gave him the opportunity to befriend many people, which enriched his life and made for many great memories and stories.

He is survived by his loving family: Janice (Joseph) Condes, David (Laurie) Contrera, Patrecia Roy Bannister (Scot), Vincent Contrera (late Christy), James (Shannon) Bellerdine, great nieces and nephews, Donald (Heather) Lancett, Michael (Heidi) Contrera, Kevin (Olivia) Contrera, Allison (Dan Porter) Roy, Keith (Tina Hunt) Roy, Danielle (Ron) Contrera, and Nicholas Bellerdine, and many great-great nieces and nephews.

Ben was predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Angeline (Frank) Bellerdine, Ignatius 'Iggy' (Jean) Nobile, Rosalie (Vincent Contrera), Joseph Nobile, and Marion Nobile.

Calling hours are Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, with services to immediately follow, all inside of Pettigrass Funeral Home, 196 Genesee St., Auburn. Burial is in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
