Barbara (Glowacki) Page

NY Age 83

Barbara Page (Glowacki), age 83, daughter of the late John and Anna Glowacki and sister of the late Michael Glowacki, was previously married to Richard Page. She graduated from Skaneateles High School in 1959 and attended SUNY Morrisville.

Barbara worked as a Dietitian Technician and Food Service Manager at Bluefield Manor for many years and served as Resident Assistant and volunteer in elder-care facilities throughout the area. She cared deeply about her family’s story and remained connected with her cousins, nieces, and extended family throughout her life. Barb enjoyed traveling and counted her trips to Greece, Israel, France, Nova Scotia, and throughout the United States as blessings.

She devoted herself to caring for others, including providing loving, long-term care for her mother after a stroke left her partially paralyzed when Barbara was a teenager. Barb was a legend in the kitchen, using her God-given cooking skills as a ministry to friends and neighbors—often delivering a casserole, baking breads and pies to share, or preparing a traditional Sunday supper with all the fixings for her lucky guests. At the 1987 State Fair, she won the “Best of Fair” Grand Prize for her whole wheat bread.

Barbara was a woman of deep faith. She connected with fellow Christians wherever she went and was a loyal, constant friend. In the past decades, First Baptist Church of Memphis in Elbridge became her place of worship and its people her family. Her confidence in her eternal home gave her a calm courage that blessed everyone around her. Because she knew heaven awaited, our farewell carries more hope than sorrow.

A Celebration of Barb’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 18 at 11 am at First Baptist Church Memphis, located at 1960 W. Genesee Turnpike in Elbridge. Private interment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be sent to New Day Resource Center by mail or online at www.auburnpcc.com.
