East Bloomfield – Antoinette “Toni” Nortier, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026, having just turned 79 a few days earlier, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Born in the town of Stafford, England, Toni was the daughter of Ken and Joan Elliott. Toni grew up on Long Island, NY, graduating from Brentwood High School and went on to earn an associate’s degree from Alfred State, where she met her future husband Don.

On March 30, 1968, Toni and Don married and together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories. Their union brought forth two wonderful children, Michael and Traci, who were the light of Toni’s world. As a mother, she always encouraged her children to pursue their dreams with determination and grace. While raising two children, she managed a career as a waitress and a lab technician for Eastman Kodak and Johnson & Johnson, highlighting her meticulous nature and commitment to excellence. Later, she brought relief and comfort to many as a licensed massage therapist. She enjoyed numerous crafts including knitting, macramé, and her involvement in various craft groups showcased her creative spirit. Toni had a love for animals, which knew no bounds. Her home was a sanctuary for a variety of creatures, from seven-toed cats and loyal dogs to donkeys, mules, and even a skunk.

Toni is survived by her husband, Don; son, Michael (Dianne) Nortier; daughter, Traci Bozza; sister, Kerry Baardsen; brother, Pete Elliott; four cherished grandchildren, Mathew, Elissa, Gage, and Grace; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Ken and Joan. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she leaves a legacy in the wonderful memories she created and the lives she touched.
