Adele Feocco Giacolone
Adele Giacolone, 92, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, of natural causes.
Born on November 18, 1933, in Auburn, she was the daughter of Raphael and Grace Carbone Feocco. A lifelong resident of the community she loved, Adele lived a life defined by devotion to family, faith, and service to others.
Adele was blessed with 45 years of marriage to her beloved husband, Nicholas Giacolone, who predeceased her. A proud and dedicated mother, she always put the needs of her family first, ensuring that her children and grandchildren felt loved, supported, and cared for. She cherished her two beautiful granddaughters and took great joy in watching them grow. Adele believed deeply in the importance of togetherness, organizing weekly family gatherings to keep everyone close and connected. During the holidays, she especially loved baking cookies and macaroni alongside her sisters, filling the home with warmth and the aromas of treasured family recipes.
Throughout her working years, Adele served her community with dedication, working at Auburn Tobacco Company, Tops Supermarket, and finally retiring from HSBC Bank. In every role, she brought the same spirit of care and commitment that defined her character. Above all, Adele was a woman of deep and abiding faith. A lifelong and devoted member of St. Alphonsus Roman Church, she made certain that her family attended Catholic Mass together each Sunday without exception. Her devotion to her faith was not simply personal; it was a gift she shared with everyone around her, guiding her family in the traditions and celebrations of the Church she loved so dearly.
Adele is survived by her son, David Giacolone; her daughters, Patricia Giacolone and Elaine Giacolone; her granddaughters, Nicole Osborne and Breanna Giacolone; her daughter-in-law, Kimberly Giacolone. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Flora Rafferty, Mary Frio, and Nancy Borodoni, and her brothers, Frank, Sam, Dom, and Joe Feocco.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Farrell's Funeral Service, Inc. Auburn, New York. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church Auburn, with Reverend Louis Vasile as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Giacolone, Rocco Giacolone, Anthony Giacolone, Michael Giacolone, Jack Feocco, and Sammy Froio. Following the funeral, a celebration of life will be held at the Springside Inn in Auburn, New York.
