Yoshiko "Nikki" Updyke, age 96, of Geneva passed away on Wednesday February 11, 2026 at the Clifton Springs Hospital Nursing Home.
Private funeral services will be held at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Nikki was born on March 10, 1929 in Tokyo, Japan. She met and married Bernard F. Updyke in Japan while he was serving in the military. They returned from Japan and made Geneva their home.
Nikki was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved watching her son perform in the AppleKnockers.
She was a very hardworking Seamstress who was well known in the area. She worked for many years at Auburn Pants & J&M Pants and retired from Sodexo at Hobart & William Smith Colleges in 1985.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Erin) Updyke of Stanley; grandchildren, Adam (Maya) Updyke of Georgetown, Maine and Ashley (Matt) Gavette of Penfield; great-grandchildren, Emily Gavette and Sam Gavette; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nikki was predeceased by her husband Bernard in 1988.
