
Willson E. 'Bill' Wright, age, 92 of Waterloo passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Geneva General Hospital.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday January 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the McGuigan & Bero Funeral Home 45 High St. Geneva. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Thomas P. Mull will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Waterloo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Church or a charity of choice.
Bill was born on January 6, 1933 in Geneva the son of the late James and Margaret (Murphy) Wright. He graduated from DeSales High School and served in the US Navy during the Korean War stationed on the east coast where he was a Radio Operator on a Navy Blimp.
Bill, a beloved member of the Waterloo community, was the dedicated owner of Wrights Christmas Tree Farm for many years. He took great pride in cultivating the farm, creating a magical experience for families each holiday season.
Bill was a member of St. Stephen's Church, Waterloo Lions Club and a founding member of the White Tail Hunting Club formed in 1961.
He is survived by his sons, Andrew (Cyndy) Wright of Waterloo, Paul (Dianna) Wright of Waterloo; grandchildren, Katie (Dave) Moodie, Kevin (Kelsey) Wright, Tim (Jessie) Wright, Michael (Lauren) Wright; great-grandchildren, Sydney Moodie, Ellie Wright, Jettson Wright; several nieces and nephews.
Bill was predeceased by his wife, Joan E. Wright; sons, Daniel Wright and Stephen Wright; daughter, Susan Wright; brother, Fred Wright; sister, Carol Wright
