William P. Mahoney, 73, passed away peacefully at Strong Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday (December 6, 2025).
Family and friends may call from 3 pm to 6 pm on Friday (December 12) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A prayer service will be at 11 am on Saturday (December 13) at the funeral Home, with a celebration of life to follow at noon at Club 86.
Bill was born September 21, 1952 in Geneva, NY and was a son of the late Eugene T. (Danno) and June (Converse) Mahoney. Bill was very talented in may aspects of his life. At an early age he developed a love of cars that carried with him throughout his lifetime. His prized 1961 Morris Minor was the hobby he was most proud of, in addition to his rare car collection. Bill loved his second home in Florida and spending time with his family and friends there. He was an avid golfer, loved racing go-karts, snowmobiling, boating and was a certified scuba diver. Bill coached Geneva Little League Softball for many years. He started his very successful General Contracting Construction company; W.P. Mahoney Enterprises in 1990 where he worked tirelessly until his retirement in December 2024.
He is survived by the love of his life of 52 years, his wife Anna Marie (Borsa) Mahoney; daughters Kelly Mahoney-Peters and Sarah (Shane) Smith; Granddaughters Gracie Peters and River Smith; Brother in-law John (Carol) Borsa; sister Debbie DeYulio and brothers James Mahoney and Michael Mahoney; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill is predeceased by his brother-in-law Joseph Borsa; in-laws Angeline and Olympio (Bubbles) Borsa; brothers Tom Mahoney and Richard (Dick) Mahoney.
He leaves behind many cherished and lifelong friends and will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him.
