Wayne Arthur Porter, age 44, of Dundee, NY, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Friends are invited to calling hours from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, in Tyrone Union Cemetery, Tyrone, NY, with Deacon Johnnie Petris officiating.

Wayne was born November 20, 1981 in Sayre, PA, the son of Dale Porter and Bonnie L. Andrews. He graduated from Dundee Central School in 2000. After 18 years, on August 23, 2025 in Altay Baptist Church, he finally made it official and married the love of his life, Marissa J. Smith.

Wayne was a kind soul who befriended everyone he met. He loved to ride ATVs, fishing, and hanging out with his family and friends.

He is loved by all but will be missed forever by his wife, Marissa J. Porter; his two daughters, Jessica Abeel and Briana Porter; two granddaughters, Ava and Autumn Abeel; his loving parents, Bonnie and Howard “Tim” Rumsey; a brother, Darren Porter; step-sister, Sabrina Leavens; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his father, Dale Porter.

He was predeceased by his son, Wayne A. Porter Jr.; and two daughters, Keltzy Ann Porter and Theresa Deeann Porter.
