Timothy Jay EctorWatkins Glen

Timothy Jay Ector, 64, of Watkins Glen, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 20, 1961, in Montour Falls, he was the son of Robert John and Fledra Rose (Parmalee) Ector. Tim attended Watkins Glen High School. On April 14, 1984, he married Starlene J. Thompson in Rock Stream.

Tim spent many years farming and also worked as a tractor-trailer driver, traveling throughout the United States. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Canasta.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Robert James Ector.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Starlene Ector; his children, Joshua (Stephanie) Ector, Jessica (Richard) Perry, William (Tonya) Ector, Patrick (April) Ector and Travis Ector; his grandchildren, Augustus, Kole, Aubriella, Hayden, Starr, Hunter, Robert and Asher; his siblings, John Ector, Daniel Ector, Bonnie Rappleye, Holly Ector (Gordy Sherwood), Samuel (Kathy) Ector and Andrew (Ruth) Ector; along with several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from noon to 1 p.m. at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 North Genesee Street, Montour Falls. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will take place in the spring at Hillside Cemetery.
