Theodore "Ted" Robert Symonds, 82, of Franklin, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023.

Born in Geneva, N.Y., he was the son of the late Leo William Symonds and Elizabeth Teresa Carragher Symonds. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leo E. Symonds.

Ted retired as a Pipefitter/ Welder after 62 years of service. He was affectionately known by many as "Beetle," was a member of Local 802 in Geneva, N.Y., and Local 630 in Palm Beach County, Fla.. He was an avid golfer and loved to watch sports. He had been a member of the Franklin Golf course for several years.

Ted is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Karen P. Symonds of Franklin; three daughters, Shelley A. Symonds of Fla., Kimberley Symonds-Necessary of N.Y., and Stacie T. Symonds of Fla.; three sons, Theodore W. Symonds of N.C., Thomas K. Pegg of Fla., and Sean P. Pegg of Fla.; and fourteen grandchildren, Mackenzie Oliver, Tre S. Donaldson, Preslee M. Donaldson, Ayden M. Pegg, Amanda Moore, Christopher McLaughlin, Michael Bianchi, Sebastian Bianchi, Bryce Girdner, Nyko Symonds, Kaylee Pegg, Courtney Pegg, Taylor Pegg, and Garrett Pegg. Also surviving are 10 great grandchildren and numerous other friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
