Susan M. Field, 66, of Himrod, formerly of Nichols, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira.

Susan was born April 30, 1959, in Sayre, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late William M. and Betty Jane (Wood) O’Connell. She was raised in Nichols, where she lived for most of her life. Susan worked for Sanmina in Owego as a circuit board welder in AOI Inner Layer for 20 years, retiring in 2014. She was also a very active former member of ROKI in Nichols.
A self-described “Dunkin’ junkie” who loved French vanilla iced coffee, Susan enjoyed sewing, diamond painting, and spending time with her faithful dog.
She is lovingly remembered and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Brandy S. (A.C.) Dobson; her grandson, Alex Dobson; her brother, Raymond (Ann) O’Connell; her sister, Judy (Thomas) Toot; her beloved significant other, Rickie Martin; and her fur baby, Ann.
