
Steven A Lind, 73, passed away Saturday (Dec.28,2024) at Geneva General Hospital following a brief illness. Steven was born April 23,1951 in Canton, Ohio to the late Harold and Ruth (Gutherie) Lind. He grew up in Seneca Falls and was a 1959 graduate of Mynderse Academy. On October 13, 1996, he married Charlotte B Scutt.
Steven is survived by his wife, Charlotte; 2 stepdaughters, Christina (Michael) Pagano of Seneca Falls and Wendy (Aaron) Romney of Fairfield, Conn.; 4 step grandchildren, Juliette Pagano, Jackson Pagano, Charles Romney, and Hannah Romney; a sister, Patricia Davis (Mark Ayres) of Rochester and a niece, Sarah (Casey) Voelkl of Rochester, and 2 great nieces, Madelyn and Elisabeth Voelkl.
Steven was a member of the Seneca Falls First United Methodist Church. He was an avid Yankee fan and had an extensive collection of memorabilia. Steve also enjoyed reading mystery novels.
Steve was best known for his ability to live beyond his disability of spina bifida. Being confined to a wheelchair did not stop him from attending 2 colleges, earn a living working at 3 trucking companies and BJ's Wholesale Club, driving, owning his own home, living for 3 years in Vegas, enjoying many vacations, including a Disney cruise to Alaska, and marriage.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Saturday Jan. 18 at the Seneca Falls First United Methodist Church at 11 a.m., with Pastor Val White officiating. It will be followed by a luncheon in the fellowship hall. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Springbrook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Steve's honor may be made to the Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E River St. Waterloo, N.Y., 13165.
