Sharon (Strickland) McMillen age 74, of Penn Yan, NY, passed away April 24, 2023 at The Homestead Nursing Home Facility.

Sharon was born August 10, 1948, the daughter of Lawrence and Rena Strickland. She graduated from Penn Yan Academy and Willard School of Nursing, working many years at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Yatesville United Methodist Church.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents; companion Skip Johnson; and brother Buddy Strickland.

She is survived by her son, Brent McMillen; brothers, Larry (Marian) Strickland, Jack (Karen) Strickland; half-brother, Paul Strickland; half-sister, Mary Strickland; stepbrothers, Bill Pitcher and Wally Pitcher; grandchildren, Nathan Rossman, Britney McMillen, and Sophie McMillen; niece, Rena (Strickland) Burns, and nephew Michael Strickland.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude and thanks for the love and care Sharon received from the staff at The Homestead Nursing Home.
