Roberta "Bobbe" Driscoll Keeley, 78, passed away on September 16, 2024 after a brief illness in Geneva.
Bobbe was born in Waterloo, the daughter of the late John D. Driscoll and Julia R. Driscoll, formerly of Geneva.
Bobbe graduated from DeSales High School in 1964. Bobbe was a stay at home mom and was devoted to her children. She was a wonderful cook and her favorite thing was being surrounded by her family during the holidays. She loved to read and watch reality television and keep up with current events. She was passionate about politics and was a life long Democrat. She was a life long Catholic whose faith brought her much comfort. She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion and her sense of humor which could shine through the darkest of times.
Her greatest joy were her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She was a devoted wife to her late husband Jimmy, whom she was married to almost 50 years when he passed in 2017.
She is survived by her son, Jason (Fatima) D. Keeley of Shortsville; her daughter, Erin E. (James T. Hayes) Keeley of Geneva; two grandsons: Jacob J. Keeley and Charlie J. Hayes; as well as one granddaughter, Grace J. Keeley; sister, Patricia (Gerry) deWit of Canandaigua; niece, Shannon E. deWit; and nephew, John D. deWit as well as many other beloved nieces, nephews and in laws.
She is predeceased by her father, John D. Driscoll; her mother, Julia R. Driscoll; and husband, James P.W. Keeley III.
There will be no calling hours. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Whitney Cemetery in Seneca Castle where she will be laid to rest next to her husband at the convenience of the family.
