Robert N. Gowdy, 65, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in Florida after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Faith Fellowship Church, 3757 Mill St., in Marion. Burial will be in Newark Cemetery.
Robert was born in Newark, on October 23, 1959, the son of the late C. Newton and Mary Fay Lookup Gowdy. He was a graduate of Penn Yan High School, Class of 1979. He was a lifetime Buffalo Bills fan. For many years he worked at Fold Pak in Newark before moving South where he was a fork lift operator for a major grocery distributer.
He is survived by two sisters Sue (Roy "Sparky") Litteer, Laura DeCracker; two nephews James Witter and Charles DeCracker; grand nieces and nephews Payten, Cole, Karson and Harper Fay.
