Robert “Bobby” C. Lewis, 72, of Horseheads, NY, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026.

Bobby was born in Corning, NY, on May 5, 1953, the son of the late Jack and Fannie (Ector) Lewis. He attended Watkins Glen Central School and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1971 to 1972.

He worked at RKB in Elmira for 27 years and later at US Salt for many years. Bobby married his wife, Zandra, on September 4, 2004.

Bobby enjoyed running 5Ks with his children, motorcycle riding, hunting, and taking care of his lawn. He will be deeply missed by his family.

He is survived by his wife, Zandra; children Robert Lewis, Samantha (Jacob) Rouse, Amanda Lewis (Shawn Murphy), Cassandra (Aaron) Thomas, Jared (Lacey) Lewis, and Randall (Samantha) Ribble; stepson Justin May; sixteen grandchildren; brother Jack (Joanne) Lewis; sister-in-law Margaret Sherman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Lewis and sister Rebecca Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Beaver Dams Cemetery.
