Van A. Johnson, of Cayuga Street, died on Friday, January 23, 2026 following an extended cancer illness. Van was born in Brooklyn on December 18, 1945, the only son of the late Arthur and Carrie (nee VanRiper) Johnson.

David Charles Shoff, 75, of Penn Yan, N.Y. passed away on January 26, 2026 after battling a long illness.

Jacqueline M. Foisia, 63, affectionately known as Jackie, passed away after a long illness, on Saturday, January 17, at home in the arms of her husband.

Donald "Don"Everett Ward, 83, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, at Strong Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family he cherished so deeply.

Carolyn started her 44-year career as a nurse at Sanford University Hospital, CA. She was a cherished member of the nursing team at the VA Hospital in Memphis and finished her career at Geneva General Hospital, serving the Geneva Community for nearly 30 consecutive years.

Bobby enjoyed running 5Ks with his children, motorcycle riding, hunting, and taking care of his lawn. He will be deeply missed by his family.

Irene often said she was blessed with a loving family and caring neighbors and friends, especially Deb Parkhurst. Her family fondly remembers her zest for life and her compassionate spirit.

Bill was widely known for his work selling and setting up mobile homes as the owner of McElwee Sales & Service in Penn Yan, and also offered lawn mowing, backhoe work, and equipment sales, including Snapper lawnmowers, Deutz tractors, and Steiner tractors.
